Amy was promoted to President and CEO of Unified Community Connections in March 2021 after serving five years as Chief Operating Officer. She previously held positions at Unified as Director of Operations in Western Maryland and Community Services Director, Residential Coordinator and Recreational Therapist in Frederick. During her tenure, Amy has set performance goals and helped grow the agency, maintained compliance with laws and regulations, led cross-functional teams on projects and analyzed and applied agency performance data. Among her many accomplishments, she has implemented technology making Unified one of the first agencies in Maryland to have an electronic charting and communication system that includes medication administration. She also developed an immersive disabilities awareness training program for new employees that requires they role play as someone receiving supports and learn from first-hand experience how their actions impact the individuals Unified supports.
