Clarksburg Kitchen Gets a Fresh New Look
October 2025
The kitchen renovation at our Clarksburg community living group home is officially complete, and the transformation is incredible! Two of the four men living there use wheelchairs. Before, they had difficulty getting into the kitchen. Now, they can easily roll right in, help make meals and enjoy the simple pleasure of opening the fridge to see what looks good to eat.
The renovation is more than a beautiful update. It’s about making the kitchen accessible, supporting independence and creating a space that truly feels like home. The new open layout brings in lots of light and includes a new stove, cabinets and countertops. The bulky overhead cabinet structure was also removed, so now there’s plenty of room for all four residents to gather, cook and spend time together.
We want to thank the Home Builders Care Foundation Inc. for t heir generous donation of $26,408 and for agreeing to work with our contractor to keep costs low. Their support on this project has given the residents in Clarksburg the gift of a fully accessible and functional kitchen and made a meaningful difference in their daily lives.
