Thumbs Up for New Meal Plan Service
July 2025
Unified recently introduced My25, a meal planning service, in several community living group homes. The service provides a range of resources that simplify meal planning and promote healthy, person-centered menu options. Alyssa Dubios and Angela Pearce, program specialists based in Hagerstown, are utilizing this new service and giving it high praise. They handle menu planning and grocery shopping for a combined total of 15 community living group homes, with eight of those using the My25 service.
“My25 makes it easier to create a menu and shopping list of healthy choices,” says Alyssa. The service provides weekly menus that include snacks and desserts, and it generates a shopping list of ingredients that can be printed or added directly to a grocery cart on the Walmart website, a popular option for budget-friendly grocery shopping.
“It’s challenging to plan new menus week after week, especially considering the many special diets,” Angela explains. “We can customize My25’s meal plans based on the preferences and dietary needs of the individuals in each home and adjust the grocery list accordingly, so we only purchase items that we need.”
My25 includes printable instructions and step-by-step cooking videos for its recipes, along with nutritional information and calorie counts for each serving. Alyssa notes, “Our staff are equipped with the tools to prepare a variety of fun meals and sides. Some favorites are carrot fries, mac and cheese balls, and cheeseburger salad.”
Angela concludes, “Ultimately, the new meal planning service supports a healthier diet and leads to better health as a result.”
