After graduating from Kennedy Krieger, Leslie transitioned from child services to adult services and came to Unified Community Connections to attend our Crossroads Center and Day Program in Middle River, Maryland. The center provides supports to Leslie and other young adults with physical, intellectual and developmental disabilities to further develop social, vocational and communication skills.
The Crossroads Center and Day Program has all the resources needed to help Leslie reach her fullest potential: two spacious day rooms, one with a 73-inch flat screen television; a game room; a computer lab; a sensory stimulation room; an art room; a nurses’ station; a conference room; smaller activity rooms for individualized programming; and an outdoor pavilion with a gazebo.
