Unified Community Connections Adult Day Services Help Men and Women with Developmental Disabilities in Maryland Develop Skills
Unified Community Connections’ day program services, located throughout Maryland, offer men and women with developmental disabilities 21 years of age or older the opportunity to engage in meaningful individual and group activities focusing on the development of interpersonal, social and vocational skills. Our day program centers in Middle River, Frederick, and Cumberland, Md., include sensory stimulation rooms, mat areas, computer labs and various activity areas. All centers have nurses and activity coordinators on site. Each center operates Monday through Friday. Unified Community Connections provides Para-Transit (wheelchair lift-equipped) transportation to and from the centers each day.

Unified Community Connections’ State-of-the-Art Facilities Help Adults with Disabilities
After graduating from Kennedy Krieger, Leslie came to Unified Community Connectoins to attend our Adult Day Center in White Marsh, where she and other individuals with disabilities can further develop their social, vocational and communication skills.
The center has all the resources needed to help Leslie and others reach their fullest potential: two spacious day rooms, one with a 73-inch flat screen television; a game room; computer lab; sensory stimulation room; art room; nurses’ station; conference room; and smaller activity rooms for individualized programming as well as an outdoor pavilion with gazebo.
