Unified Names Penny Lynch Board Chair

Unified Community Connections, a nonprofit agency serving children and adults with disabilities throughout Maryland, named Penny Lynch chair of the board. Professionally, she chairs the special education department at Francis Scott Key High School in Union Bridge, Maryland.
Lynch joined the Unified Community Connections board in 2010 and has served as chair of the board’s quality assurance committee. In her new role, Lynch succeeds Ilene Salcman, executive vice president of The L. Warner Companies, who served as Unified Community Connections chair for four years and will continue on the board as past chair. Kathleen Schneider, principal at Berkeley Research Group, will continue as vice chair of the board.
Lynch holds a master’s degree in education administration from McDaniel University and bachelor’s degree in special education and elementary education from Slippery Rock University.
